Welcome to Class 1!
What a great start to the year!
We would like to take this opportunity to say what a joy Class 1 are to teach and and spend each day with - they truly are a credit to you. Also, a huge thank you for your continued support with reading at home and helpful comments in reading records, it is making a big impact on your childs' enjoyment of books.
We are having a wonderful time this term! Our 'Around our School' topic has got us all using maps and plans, and we will soon embark on a practical project to improve our school environment! We have also been covering ourselves in glitter on our 'Christmas Card Day' and learning a little Spanish for 'European Languages Day'! Photos attached below!
This week we have been looking at 2D and 3D shapes (We have been AMAZED at Class 1's knowledge!) and today in RE we held a baptism for 'Baby Milly' - well done to our parents, godparents and priest for some first class acting!
