Summer Term
Well, despite the rain clouds outside my window and the nip in the air, we are entering the Summer Term. Where did the year go?
Last term, we learnt about dragons - we read many dragon adventures and learnt some valuable lessons about dragon care. We looked at life cycles and the different stages of development. We hatched our dragon to find that babies are never quite what you expect.
This term our Topic is going to be In the Garden. We are going to look at weather and all its extremes. We will try our hand at weather reports - we can only be more informative than other reports (!) We will find out about how our weather is formed. As it is a time for new growth we will plant seeds and see how the weather affects their growth. Our sunflowers may not be the smiley faces that they should be. If there is time we will also look at minibeasts and all the little creatures that live in the garden.
This term is Keystage 1 SATs so we will be participating in those as well - we WILL be busy.
